audio glitches in Xvid Rip

I am trying to rip a TV series to my hard drive so I can transfer it to my Zen Vision:M.

I have tried using DVDx, Super DVD Ripper, and AoA DVD Ripper. All have the same problem, so I am guessing it is a setting, not a software error.

When I rip it to a XviD file, the audio is OK for a few seconds, then it begins to skip and go blank every few seconds. It is out of sync with the video. MY assumption is that it has something to do with the framerate, but Ive tried all of the following:
-29.97fps Output
-23.98fps output
-Detect 24Hz
-Force 24Hz
-Audio/Video Synchronization


Any help appreciated.

DVDx, Super DVD Ripper, and AoA DVD Ripper

DVDx is a little outdated, now called 'staxrip'. i don't think much of super and aoa dvd ripper.

use better software-- gordian knot, staxrip (formerly DVDx), virtualdub, etc

I don't know...DVDx worked for the first 2 seasons of the same series...and they seem to use the same diak layout for all of them.

I have tried Staxrip and GK/AutoGK before, but had problems with them. Will try them again though...

Does anyone have any sugestions on this?

Ive tried many programs, all of them have audio glitches and an audio/video sync problem.

I really want to get these files converted to transfer to my Zen Vision:M...

Any other sugestions?

I can't get autoGK to work...It goes through a few steps, then says Job finished. There is no output file.

For anyone who may have the problem I originally had, This is how I ripped the TV series I had:

In DVD Decrypter, rip with Mode set to IFO.
Look for the PGC #s with episodes in them (should be as long as the episodes are. There should be 1 per episode plus some others for menu's, etc.
Rip these individually.
Open each .VOB in Auto GK. NOT the .IFO, the .VOB. The IFO has onfo on all the video on the DVD, and the VOB is only the individual episode. That is what messed up AutoGK in my previous post, I had used the .IFO (with a full DVD image, not having each PGC ripped separatley). It looks like that is an error in AutoGK, I told it to do a certain PGC, but for the audio it encoded the whole thing. So, the audio and Video length didn't match, and I got the error.
