Actually, there is an easier way of doing what you are wanting to do.
With VDub you can create AVISynth Templates. Pipe the default framerate to VDUB using the template and it should be pretty seamless. However, you will have to keep up with the different framerates that are used for RM.
You should be able to determine framerate of the clip using RealAlt and MediaPlayer Classic. Just load the vid, go to file/properties/details and it should give you the FPS.
