    Interesting Problem

I was wondering if someone has experienced this , and if there is a fix/solve for this problem:

My one friend got the DVD of emmanuelle some crappy xxx , but however , the RIP process goes 100% , and u can do a perfect playback with Powerdvd4 , audio& video...

the problem starts when u want to encode it either by using :
    flask , xmpeg , easydivx :

I don't have any audio! . in flask my 2 audio options are greyed out... i can only accept Don't PROCESS AUDIO ...

all my other 99.9% attempts at flask or whichever encoder works 100%... i have done a NEW ripp from scratch , but it still doesn't want to give me any audio.

    any ideas/suggestions?

    thanx

The DVD's audio is probably encoded as LPCM (rather than .AC3), which Flask can't process...

use DVD2AVI to extract your sound stream:

      - open first vob file and press ok, consecutive files will be loaded automatically

      - under audio select track number (1 will be english most of the time)
      - channel format: autoselect
      - dolby digital: demux will extract the files with their orignal format: ac3 in most cases or use DECODE to decode the stream to wav
      -mpeg audio : demux
      - and the rest under audio if you like

      - now SAVE PROJECT

this should extract your audio stream

          Interesting problem (2)

          hi people

thanx for the advice about getting audio by using DVD2AVI with the LPCM audio trick ...works 100%..

          i have another question:

          i have a p4.1.7 intel system , 512mb ram , geforce2GTS ...

after i started to encode movies by using divx 5.01 (not pro ver) i get segments in a movie where it goes accelerated for about 1/2 a second then plays normal for about 2 minutes then goes quick for another 1/2 second..

some kind of sync problem , or is there something wrong

          regards
