extracting ogg audio from divx

I downloaded hearts in atlantis dvdrip that has ogg audio I am trying to extract the audio to wav and want to covert to vcd if I open the file in virtualdub it says cannot determine filetype but it has a .avi extension. If I open the file in tmpg it says the error occurred when acm was initialized. The file plays ok in mediaplayer and I have the ogg codecs installed can anyone help with this problem

thx for the reply man opened the avi file in nandub stil get the same error as vitualdub - cannot determine filetype

If you've got the codec installed (and it's not "locked" to limit it to playback only), an audio editor such as GoldWave, CoolEdit, or similar, should be able to extract the audiostream from the .AVI and convert it to whatever format you desire.
