    nerovision express 3

I started playing around with this program and converting a few avi captures to dvd format. Noticed the play quality settings, went with highest one, the 1 or 2 pass option, 168 minutes of play gave me a video folder just 1 % too large for SL dvd. It taking about 90 minutes to convert with 1 pass.

Am then using shrink to reauthor, removing the lame menu(probably a mistake), cause then I have 4 titles but no chapters.

    Suggestions?

nero menu is very small, check out edit movie for each file you can cut beggin or the end one, Nero is bad for avi ( check when it play if they still sing ) I may spell wrong

The captures are already edited, playback on a divx capable dvd player had some minor audio sync problems when a friend tested but I can't tell anything's wrong on playback of dvd.

So far I am impressed with nero, course this is my first succesful conversion,
fooled with it long ago and gave up.

I use nero all the time because it easy to use, I convert to 8 gig then shrink it so my movie is longer

I am more than happy with the 1 pass quality, I could stand another
few gigahertz cpu to help the time. Thanks night.

demux/transcode audio to lpcm with vdub, write a simple avisynth script (avisource() and lanczosresize()), open with hcenc or any other mpeg2 encoding app, load ifoedit, author dvd, build & burn

                nero is crap!

Well so much for an intelligent discussion, saying something is crap is not very enlightening. Sort of like saying I don't like dark chocolate.

I watched the results of vision on a standalone last night, it was fine.
Considering this was my first attempt and I had less than an hour in playing with settings, I consider it an overall success. Not that I would encourage anyone to go out and buy the software, but many already have it.

A friend in a similar situation who is not very computer proficient swears by it. I usually have to show him how to do almost everything.
