    Problem with Disney's Fantasia 2000

    Hi,

I wonder if any of you had a problem with this movie.
When I tried to encode it with DivX 3.11 the video playback was jerky (you could see slight stops every second) and the audio also freezed from time to time. With DivX 4.11 the video is fine but the audio still freezes sometimes.

I wonder whether it may be caused by a bad rip. I used DVDDecrypter.

What do you think about it?

Using Flask v.0.594 (still the most reliable) for the conversion, under "Global Options" select 23.976, check "Deinterlace" and check "Reconstruct Progressive Images". This should eliminate your problems.

    Let us know of your success ;>}

0594 is only a good choice if it is a modified version that includes the 'madman's jerkiness fix'.

the normal version DOES produce stuttering output files with certain titles due to FRAMEDROPS!!!

miha perternels vanilla version is running fine.

      which version did you use?

Perhaps, I should have been more specific - FLASK V.0.594[PX3]

          Hi,

Sorry for being quiet for such long but I had really rough time for the past few weeks.
          Back to the issue:

Thanks for your replies but I tried the setarip's method: 23.976, deinterlace & reconstruct and there was no effect. Still jerky video & audio. When I checked the Ram Madman jerkiness fix the video was fine but audio still stuttered, as I observed, mainly during fast motion scenes but not only.

I'm using FlaskMPEG 0.594 HRM optimized version with DivX 4.12 on Windows ME.

Do you have any other suggestions?
          Again thanks for any help

In my earlier post, I probably should have stated that I use the original DivX 3.11 codec.

well, it doesn't matter which codec I use. It is the same situation with 3.11. Maybe I could send you a sample if it is not a big problem?
