I'am almost 100% sure this was done in flask.

Unless you did a poor job in GKnot on purpose, just to fool every one.

How I came to this conclusion:

    1. Pooly done ivtc, try single stepping through frames 133-142.

    2. CBR mp3 audio.

When I encode in Gordian Knot, I get crappy results like this for some reason:

Why is only half the video showing? I used the Doom9.org guide.

This is caused by a bug in GKnot's fast deinterlace code.

You can read about this here:

The audio didn't encode either, as you see. Whats wrong?

If I dont want to use fast deinterlace, is feild deinterlace just as good?

Are you sure you didn't forget to configure the audio encoding in the audio encoder tab (see attachment).

Post your _GKnot.log file if this was not the problem.

Sorry I'am really quite clueless when it comes to ntsc DVD's, I have next to no experience with this.

Hi. My audio wont process. I did everything the doom9.org asked me to do, but I get this error:

ERROR: Will not recalculate bitrate - maybe you can add audio later.
ERROR: MP3 File Size is Zero! Transcoding Failed.

why dont you create your audio seperately and mux it with the video later on?

                    take a look:

This just says that, bitrate recalculation failed, because audio transcoding failed, something must have gone wrong before this. Post your entire _GKnot.log file.

KHP..you mentioned ivtc...i am trying to learn this..is there a really good EASY way to do this?..i do not want to go through a video frame by frame..its not really worth it..i tried the auto setting in tmpg for this feature but it came out like crap and i seem to always use "deinterlace-double field"for my own stuff..everyone says if you dont want to do ivtc then choose field but they fail to mention odd or even?..can you help me or send me to a site where i can really learn this stuff.

I also said that I'am quite clueless when it comes to NTSC related stuff. . .

AFAIK, the telecide + decimate cycle=5 is supposed to work, but I think that sometime you also need to do a field swap, and you can't tell without trying.

Telecide and decimate can be used either in avisynth or in virtualdub, you can find the documentation at Donald Graft's page
