The autocrop.dll associated with Avisynth 2.5 doesn't work.

I tried running it automatically thru DVD-Rebuilder and it does not work. No matter how you set it up in Avisynth or DVD-Rebuilder.

If you manually input the AVS script file or d2v file into HC-018 (avi to DVD) encoder it has an option to change to full screen 4:3 before you encode to DVD (m2v) and compress to approximately 4.7gb. (dvd-5)

Also, trying to crop/clip in DGIndex (d2v) before manual input into HC-018 doesn't work either.

The only thing that I have found that works to crop/clip is TMPGEnc Plus and does a great job of that on the m2v file.

why would you want to crop anything through dvd rebuilder? if you crop the image you'll need to resize, which loses quality and slows processing time. why come to the conclusion autocrop doesn't work just because it doesn't work for YOU? it does work, used it once upon a time, but prefer to crop manually.

you need to do autocrop(mode=0) for actual cropping. mode=1 (which is default) will only let you see how much it will crop

Autocrop wouldn't work anyway since I assume it is designed for cropping out black borders and you are talking about cropping the picture. Just use crop() and enter whatever values are required to make your video 4:3. I really wouldn't recommend it though. Better to leave it WS.

FAQ, i wouldn't suggest TMPGEnc for avi creation though...
Talk about the TMPGEnc line of software, including TMPGEnc Express, MPEG Editor and TMPGEnc DVD Author

open the file in virtualdub, go video-->filters, select null transform, then click OK. then click cropping, and crop to a 4:3 res. when done click OK. go video-->compression, select your codec and set it up, file-->save as avi
