DVD won't play after converting from avi

    Hi all,
This my first time here so be easy, I'm a newbie. I created an AVI file with sound in Autodesk Architectural Destop, to show a client of mine. The AVI works great and the client was real pleased, so much he wants to have a copy of the file to show his wife and other colleges. I used AVI2DVD, it seemed to work just fine, but when I went to play it on my DVD I got the following error.

    DISK ERROR
    Please edject Disk
Playback feature may not available on this disk

I tried burning another, same thing. I tried a different brand of DVD+R and got the same thing. They play just fine on the computer, but I'm not giving my client my computer. BTW, I used Memorex and HP media. Now, I can backup my DVD movies and all play perfectly on my DVD players, but not this avi file.

Could there be something that I'm not seeing, or did I do something wrong?
I have Adobe CS2, but when I bring in the AVI file I have no sound, so that is why I went and got AVI2DVD.

Any help would be greatly appericiated!
    TIA

    Welcome to the forum,

    DISK ERROR
    Please edject Disk
Playback feature may not available on this disk
Does this happen only on your stand alone player?

    If yes.

Use your remote control for your DVD player and turn off the PBC.
    See if it plays then.

With your remote with the dvd in the player go to setup then search for the PBC (Play back control) every dvd player is different so I am not exactly where that will be in your set up.

You can find that in your dvd player owners manual though.

You may also want to click on the link in my sig on the golden rules of burning it explains which brands of DVD's are good.

I finally found out that it was the way AVI2DVD preformed, that was giving me the problem. I used some software that I didn't even know that I had and it worked great. The new software is InterVideo WinDVD Creator. Thanks everyone for your input, this thread is now closed.
