Making A Vhs Video From A Dvd

Any ideas about best way to rip a dvd to a vhs tape.... can i play the dvd through a vhs deck and just hit record? what is the best way?

Hello, I just did that (played the dvd and hit record on the video machine) for some clients and it worked great. Of course that the two machines be clean and working well helps. Some of the older vhs are not that great. Have fun. Sometimes you have to start the record on the vhs early because its a bit slower than the dvd when you get it going, depends, you'll have to play a bit and see.

I've done the same thing "Jerii" stated and it works. I've also played video files from my computer and recorded them to vhs while watching them but this requires a video card with video out.
