    .mv2 File??

    Hello all,
    I have a webcam capture program I use called GOTCHA!
    It monitors a room for motion and saves the captured video
    at certain size limits (I chose 20MB). I have about 40 files that are 20MB each and end in the extension .mv2
    They play just fine in the GOTCHA program, but not in Windows Media Player 8 or 9 (XP). I need to merge all of these files into one and convert to the best quality I can and burn on to a CDR which can be played in Windows Media player. WMP 8 and 9 will
    support most DIVX,MPEG,AVI, ect.......Just not .mv2
    Any help/advice on converting and/or merging these files would be very appreciated!!

    Thank you in advance.

    To enable you to view your *.m2v files in Windows Media Player, just manually change the file extension to *.mpg

    *.m2v files are "mpeg 2 video only" format.

    Hope that helps.

      "I need to merge all of these files into one and convert to the best quality I can and burn on to a CDR which can be played in Windows Media player."

      Use TMPGEnc as follows:

      File>>MPEGTools>>Merge&Cut

      Set format to MPEG2 (NOT MPEG2-SuperVideoCD)

      Load your files in the sequence you wish them to play

      Enter a NEW filename in the "Save as" box

      Press the "Run" radio button

      Let us know of your success ;>}
