    media plaver v PLAYA

ok - Im going mad, I encoded a series I have on dvd to DivX 5 Pro...

I used Gordian Knot, and with its template-ish setup I was able to batch run each episode in turn to the same spec - the problem is that I played the first movie, and it was fantastic, but the rest had a green haze appear over it...

I trashed them and started again; again green haze - in the end I dropped it into the PLAYA viewer, and they worked fine - seemed like it was Media Player chewing the playback up - whats all that about???

I use media player all the time to play back my DivX and had no problem before - out of habit its my preferred viewer as I use a Video Sender which has a remote with Media players Shortcuts on...

    Any ideas???

What version of WMP are you using? Versions higher that 6.4 have reported problems playing back divx content.

Green haze? It could have been caused by resolutions not divisible by 16. Check the resolution of your problematic videos.

Gordian Knot did an auto resize on a PAL 4:3 so I have an output of 640x400...
