    Sticky, freezing AVI’s DIVX?

I am a newbie and I see that there seem to be a lot of questions about this. I have been
having this trouble, but I found that the clip played smoothly on Winmedplyr 6.4
PROVIDED they were viewed at 100% rate. If they were magnified to 200% or full
screen they would stop freeze and then play one second before freezing again.

Is this because the player has to make calculations to magnify the stream and there is
    not enough RAM?

If I converted them to MPEG (I do not know how yet) and presumably smaller file
    size, would they run smooth?

Your system is probably unable to handle those files.
    1) Try another player such as GDIVX
    2) reduce colour to 24 bit, if neccesary 16 bit
    3) reduce desktop area (e.g. to 640x480)

      Thanks.

DIVX Player 2.0 Alpha did the trick. Even works on full screen!
