    Audio Troubles

I am having a few problems with the DIVX Audio. I have no idea why, but it doesn't play audio for some things, yet it plays for other things. A little help would be much appreciated, that it would.

I assume you are downloading, rather than creating, DivX-compressed .AVI files.

There are many different audio formats used when creating DivX-compressed .AVI files - .WAV, Constant Bit Rate (CBR) .MP3, Variable Bit Rate (VBR) .MP3, .AC3 and others.

Some of these require the installation of additional audio filters/codecs in order to hear the sound during playback. In order to determine which codec(s) you need for a particular .AVI, you should do the following:

    1) Load the file into VirtualDub

    2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

    3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (both video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

Sorry, but i have to blame VirtualDub and NanDub for wrong information in this particular case. The information of the audio-stream (only *.AC3 ) is not corrcet i think, because when there stands 5 (stereo) channel, it's only 2 channel stereo. Maybe i am wrong but then, please, explain me why.

        To som3Bo6y

Does your posting have anything to do with Kenshin's question?

If not, you'd avoid confusion by posting your question as a new thread...
