i recentley purchased an s video to compostite or rca video connecter. when i got it and tried it there was very little color. Radio shack sells these things for like 20 bucks and they have barely any color does anyone know a good way to convert s video to composite or has anyone here had success using this converter i am talking about thanks

Propper cable can be done very easily - look here for correct scheme:
Cable you need is one represented on last picture (the one with 470pF condesator).
I am only not sure does this picture represent male or female connections - try and if won't work, do reverse connecting. -
