Hi!
I've got some problems with DivX 5.0.2 (Pro) and Dolby Digital 5.1 (AC-3). This is the description my problems:
I have encoded "Spy Game" (DVD, PAL) in DivX format using Vidomi 0.496 by selecting the "DivX Network Vidomi VBR" mode. The quality of the encoded video (.avi) is perfect (3 CDs) and it's VERY similar to the original DVD. Now I have the add the ".ac3" track to the ".avi" i've previously encoded, because I want to keep the original Dolby Digital soundtrack instead of an MP3 compressed one.
It's here where I need help...
I've tryed to multiplex the AVI with the AC-3 soundtrack using VirtualDub AC-3, NanDub and AVIMux with success, but when I try to play the multiplexed AVI movie (DivX+AC-3) I can't hear audio. I've tryed to install AC-3 codecs from Nimo's Pack and I've tryed to play the movie in Windows Media Player 8.1, BSPlayer 0.85, PowerDVD 4.0 and WinDVD 4 but... NO RESULTS! All the players don't detect the AC-3 stream. At this point i've opened VirtualDub, i've opened the muxed AVI and then i've selected File>File Information. The result? Under the Audio Stream tab, VirtualDub recognize perfectly the AC-3 audio stream.
So it's not a problem created by muxing the AVI+AC-3, it's not a problem of the players... what kind of problem is?
Please help me!
Thanks for the support!
Daniele Esposito.
