1hr of video on 1 cd

Is it possible and what do you reccomend?
I have been using Ulead that came with my Ati all in wonder radeon. Now I realize that it can't cut it. I'm looking for a new program and new settings. Any ideas?

If you want to create a VideoCD (viewable on a television via a standalone DVd player), use TMPGEnc...

      actualy I don't care

I don't really care if you can read it in a dvd player. I'm more interested in just being able to get my vhs tapes onto CD where they take up less room and don't degrade.

Then create divx files, using Virtualdub (for low quality video recordings you may be able to easily exceed the one hour per cd ration you've mentioned ).
