ive just downloaded the first half of a movie and need to know what steps to take to finally get it onto disc. could anyone please take the time to explain this to me.

What kind of disc do you intend to create? If your intent is to simply create a data disc you can simply burn the file. However if you want the file to play on a conventional dvd player (provided, it supports these formats) you will need to create an svcd/vcd disc (read tutorials).
