File .avi Defective (??)

After to have unloaded n. .avi from Internet I join them with peckjoin. Often, in phase of visualization of the output file, the advance bar it's blocked.I have manipulate aforesaid the movie with VirtualDab1_4_10 but I receive various signalling es. "Sync error" etc. I have tried to give it in meal to Divfix_1.091 that does not give errori.What can make in these cases? Thanks

For VirtualDub to successfully join the .AVIs, they must be IDENTICAL with regard to video codec, bitrate, framerate, resolution, audio format, audio frequency...

Exists a program for check if a file .avi i's ok (video,audio,eccc) ?? Thans

to check the video and audio rates and codecs they are using, just load up the file in VirtualDub and select "File Information" from the File tab.
