    no sound from rear left speaker

    try this. I have aal the codes installed(even uninstalled them rebooted and reïnstalled them and rebooted) and there is no sound from my rear left speaker.
    It's not only in 1 ùovie but in all. even the ones that worked before

      Don't think so. Because when I plays music. It does work.

      But for some reason that works now. But My center speaker doesn't. Media player plays them as a surround system and as 5.1 speakers.

        Are you saying that, without changing anything, your problem has now mysteriously shifted from the left rear speaker to the center speaker?

            Indeed it now sees my set as a surround sound set. not a 5.1

              I assume you have some audio setup software (Creative or other). If so, check the settings...

                Al the audio settings are set to 5.1 speakers.
