I found out through reading the other links here, that installing the nimo pack and the ffdshow filter not only fixed the green blocks but also fixed a time problem that I had with sound compaired to video.
I downloaded the 7th season of "Startrek" tv series and in Win media player 9 the voices were 3 seconds off. When played in the Divx player they were fine.
Next on the movie "Fear dot Com" I had sound but the video was just a bunch of lines from left to right in the wmplayer. In the Divx player it would not even start.
After going crazy on the AC3 audio problem on the movie "The Ring", here is were I found the fix that did it. i.e."Nimo pack and ffdshow"
It fixed all 3 problems. There may be more out there that this fixes?
I hope this helps more people out.
