XviD - Sound Problems

Hi newbie here, I am having trouble with The Ring(2k2).avi i downloaded XviD for it as it recommended for the codec. Now before the movie plays it says 'Error sending codec' then I can play the movie but with no sound. Can anyone help

Solution found: search for the ac3 codec on kazaa or something

Open the file in GSpot, which will tell you what codecs are required for successfully playing the file.

i had a similar incident and i installed the tsunami 396 codec pack and just the intervideo ac3 codec and the ac3 .52b codec and it worked

I installed nimo codec pack custom installation and marked xvid codec under video and it helped the sound problem. I still had green fuzzy picture and that was helped by installing latest xvid-codec from koepi.
