Help please, vid stops about 30 secs into it...

I have a video, its in MPEG format, i downloaded the Tsunami patch when at first it didnt play, after that it began to play but that only lasted 30 seconds then it stops again. IF played in Windows Media player the error is "the parameter is incorrect"

I used G-spot to try and figure it out but it says it renders fine.. i then loaded it into nandub also.. nandub said "MPEG Import filter: pack sychranization error"

    please help thanks!

Sounds like you have an MPEG2 video. Try playing it under a software DVD player, such as WinDVD or PowerDVD...

well thats awesome, i downloaded powerdvd, but when the video plays for aprox 8 mins the sound stops and only the video continues, if i FF to later in the movie it will runthe sound for like 8 mins and again the sound will stop. Is this due to power dvd only being a trila version, if so what other players can i use?

"if so what other players can i use?"

Included in most of the "codec packs" available for download (look for any posting by UncasMS for a live link to the Tsunami pack) are MPEG2 video/audio codecs/filters. Once they've been registered to Windows, you should be able to use Windows Media Player (and virtually any other player) to playback MPEG2s...
