no audio in WinDVD with Divx files

I'm having a problem getting audio to play with Divx/Avi files in WinDVD. The files play just fine in WMP/The Playa, just not in WinDVD. DVDs play fine in WinDVD.

Also, most of these Divx files are all MPEG Layer-3 audio encoded, NOT AC3 encoded. I even created an AVI file using Raw PCM, and WinDVD will still not play the audio.

Any ideas?

I'd suggest that you unistall WinDVD, reboot (cold) and reinstall WinDVD.


Just curious, which version of WinDVd are you using?
