I´ve got all the codecs but still no sound at all. please help!!!

I have a very annoying problem, on all of my xvid movies there`s no sound i have only image and I`ve downloaded all of the codecs that says I should have on the forum, i have: xvid codec, ac3, ffdshow, divx total pack, nimo, tsunami and still there`s no sound.
please I`m desperate I`ve done everything and got nothing
help this poor soul lost on the world of movies `cos i can´t see any.

1) Load the .AVI file into VirtualDub or NanDub

2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (both video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

Install the AC3 codec, available from a codec pack such as Tsunami.

I installed GSpot.. and it told me to get the AC3 codec... which I did get... and then it told me that wasn't enough and I needed the Intervideo Audio Codec to go along with it.. and once both of those were installed... and I tried to play the video.. it completely crashed my computer... Yikes... eh?

Remove the other AC3 codec and have ONLY the Intervideo AC3 codec installed in your system then. . .
