Hi I am an absolute noob with this.
I have a Xvid movie ripped straight from a DVD and plays fine on another puter.
I initially tried it on my PC and only audio would play.
So I downloaded Nimo ver 5 build 8.
I removed old Divx codecs and installed Nimo as directed.
Then I tried again.
The video is solid green with fixed, coloured speckles all over the top half.
Please help!
I have a Win98 PC running Windows Media Player ver 7.01
Should I go to ver 9?
cheers
UPDATE: I've found this similar post and will try the suggestion there which is to download ffdshow20020607.exe
UPDATE2: ffdshow20020607.exe is not at the suggested link although there is ffdshow20020606.exe and ffdshow20020617.exe
I'll try 20020617 and see how it goes...
