Problems with MPEG Layer-3 Decoder

I have DivX 5.0.2 installed and almost every type of file plays but one will not. The error message suggests that I need the MPEG Layer-3 decoder but I would have assumed that I had that with DivX 5.0.2. Any ideas?

Its weird. It has sound but no video. In the file properites it is descibed as "media type: audio", but yet it is 700mb and still says "error downloading codec".

Check the File Information using either GSpot or Virtualdub, and post what information you have gathered here.
