I agree that WMP is (one of) the best media players. I even like the new 9version, very nice and has a useful toolbar.Did you know you can SEARCH the forum? Fixes common problems too:

Also search on the whole Digital-Digest website:

Just like small and all format can play.
I just like ZoomPlayer. It's very small compare to any DVD player and It can play from DVD/(S)VCD/DivX/xViD and all codec that already intalled in your PC !
Before I had DVD-ROM, I just like BSPlayer too !
WMP was too fancy and take a long time to load itself before playing any movie !
I just like speed, perfomance, and compatibility.......My Foot Print...Comment

yes, i agree that wmp is too slow in loading files, i ate the whole bag of popcorn before it even loaded. Plus I still had time to spare...Comment

old machine!!
Hi everyone,
Since everyone is discussing players. I have a problem, when I playback divx movies they are very slow, the video breaks up, the sound is not in sync.
I have a limitation, I have an old notebook Dell Inspiron 7000, P2 300MHz, 224 MB of RAM, I am running XP, it has a ATI Rage LT Pro 2X AGP graphics accelerator with 8MB of 100-MHz SGRAM.
Since it has XP I am unable to use WMP 6.4. I have the DivX player 2.0 but it doesnt play xvid files. I have Real One player and Winamp 3.0. Well none of them do the trick.
Is there a player which uses up very low resources??
Please advice...
thanx in advance...Comment

in xp, you can use the wmp6.4 by going
Start-->Run--> and in the box type in "mplayer2.exe" (without the quotes)
and it will start wmp6.4, and that may help your problem.
you might want to also finalize your programs by turning off all unnecesary programs.Comment
