Skipping in a movie

Question: Is there ANY player that will allow me to skip forward to the point where I stopped watching in a movie?

It doesn't work in WMP9 or RealOne or DivX Player 2.0

The result is ALWAYS out of synced sound. Why the heck is that? What's up with that? What's the problema? Wha...

HELP! Please...

I use Windows Media 7 and am able to skip forward without any problems with video and sound being out of sync. Though the problem is that sometimes I'd skip forward but the video doesn't always play but rather just freeze with only the sound going forward even though that part of the film is not corrupted.
