Same Problem, no Sound with Virtual Dub

I have kinda same problem.
I installed several codecs. Now i can watch the xvid movie with the media player, and also i can hear good sound!!!

But if i want to make a mpeg out of it (for video cd) either i get no sound or even an error.

If i check File information with virtual dub, i t says no used codec!!!

Does anybody have the same problem?

With WMP okay, with virtual dub, TMPEG not okay.

If you can hear audio in WMP,then I doubt VDub would say "No used codec"Most likely VDub would report Compression Unknown.

Anyway.....post a little more detailed audio information obtained from VDub.
