    Damn Wmv

I got hold of some trailers made in the WMV format, and I want to convert them to SVCD. The problem is just that I cant seem to convert them at all. VirtualDub with ASF support says: "Couldn't locate decompressor format 'WMV2' (Unknown)". I tried ASFtools but it can't open the file.
Then I tried STOIK Video Converter, it just say it can't open the output file?????

    Can anybody help me???

I believe that this link will provide you with the information necessary to at least convert the file to a more "flexible" format:

Thank you very much Setarip. But now I have a new problem, the trailers are 24FPS, and I don't know how to convert them to either 23,976FPS or 25FPS, to use on my DVD-player, If I change the Frame rate in VirtualDub the sound comes out of sync, and if I just select another framerate in TMPEnc then the movie comes out choppy (No smooth playback)

So can anybody help me with the new problem???

      Thanks again Setarip

If your DVD player is capable of playback at 23.976Fps (NTSC Film) and 25Fps (PAL), it should have no problem with 24Fps...
