    Sound Quality WMP9 Vs BSplayer

Hello everyone. I am having a probelm. I seem to get better sound quality play back in movies when I use the media player and I am tryign to get the same quality in bs player but I have no clue were to start. Anyone know what I should do?

Also I was wondering why the color controls in media work for mpeg1 or mpeg2 files but not in bs player? Is bs player only control color for mpeg4 files?

Also it seems the bs player project is slowing down a bit, so if anyone can recommend a good player other than media player just Holla!!

One last thing, how do I setup the the XVId codec to play Xvid movies? I really don't want to use the ffshow codec thing or nemo codec pack. Those things just seem to give me ore problem. I just wanna keep it clean. THe right codec for the right movie file.

Aahh dang I wanted to post this in the software section. Please Mr or Mrs Mod can you move this if you get a chance.

Simply disable playbacks for the codecs concerned from within FFDShow configuration window.

Really? I don't use WMP 9 (staying with older releases), but I personally find BSPlayer to sound slightly better than WMP. I set BSPlayer to use Waveout, which probably accounts for the better SQ. WMP defaults to using DirectSound (which IMO does not sound as good as Waveout).
