    part file gone

    hi,

one of my emule part files suddenly disappeard. I deleted my emule version 0.24 and put 0.22 back on. It didnt help. Still didnt work. Then i rebooted my system... now the part.met file in the folder is gone.

How can i recover the part.met file so that my download will work again???

    thx

If the file hasn't been overwritten you can give "data recovery" tools a try (search google for more information) to see if you can recover erased data.

Never delete Emule/edonkey/overnet folders. When you install a newer version of your program, it will automatically overwrite the main .exe and other files, but it will leave the "Temp" folder intact.
That is where the .part files are being kept, see if you can still find it, if not, too bad and try batmans suggestion.

i still have the part file. I saved it in another folder when i put the new emule on my system. After the installation i put the parts back in the new temp folder... emule recognizes 1 of the files.... the other wont work. I think it is because the part.met file is missing (every download from emule is made of two files... part and part.met).

I need to recover the part.met file somehow!!

Well, you can do a windows search for that part to see if it just got misplaced, but if you know that it was deleted, it's simply a loss.

You should definately try Active@ Undelete recover tool.
