    Problems with sound

I'm pretty new to this, so I hope someone can help me. I've downloaded 3 movies, The Two Towers, When We Were Soldiers, and Die Another Day. I have a xvid codec that seems to work for the Two Towers, but I can't get sound with the other 2. The video feeds are great.

Please help, I need it desperately!!!

    Thanks!!

the two videos most probably each contain an AC3 audiostream. Either play the files with a software DVD player (WinDVD, PowerDVD, etc.) or download and properly install an AC3 filter/codec...

Can you tell where to get the AC3 filter/codec, and how to properly install?

      Again, any help is appreciated.

i have 2 of the same movies and couldn't get video or audio. i downloaded Keopi's Xvid codec, and Nimo Build 8 (unchecked ffdshow) and now they both play.

the problem is that the sound gets ahead of the picture for about 3/4 of the movie.

did i download the wrong audio codec? or is my computer just too old?

I'm running XP Pro on a PII 350mhz (yes i know it's old hehe)

i've tried playing them in WMP9, & Power DVD

            Can anybody help?
