Try installing the FFDShow filter which might clear things up for you.

I was having this same problem with "green fuzziness". I installed FFdshow problem fixed.

ffdshow is DirectShow and VFW codec for decoding/encoding many video and audio formats, including DivX and XviD movies using libavcodec, xvid and…

i'm using the latest ffdshow and some movies still are 'green and fuzzy' for me
          the ring xvid for example

i tried reinstalling ffdshow, using nic's xvid, koepi's xvid... nothing seems to work
          any suggestions?

I dont know if this is a good advice .. some poeple says it's not.
You might wanna try install the newest Nimo Codec Pack. If it doesn't work, then uninstall your xvid codecs and then install nimo and make sure the XviD codec is included in the install .. it worked for me .. but maybé not for you .. if you want to make sure youre doing the right thing ask an expert or something

i had nimo codec... i had build 8, and i also tried build 9 beta... i still got that green fuzzy junk on it, its like the images are catching up or something.... on the nimo, i chose the 5.02 filter to play 5.02, and i also tried it with the ffdshow, i got the same results...

maybe i need to manually delete drivers and such... the nimo folder was deleted, do i have to go elsewhere to delete other codecs that werent in the nimo folder? like the xvid codec for example....
