    Recording wmv streaming files

What are the various ways to record streaming files opened with Window media player?

I've seen WMrecorder but it sometimes doesn't work even though there is a streaming file playing.

    Is there any altenative?

Also, which ones work with Window Media player 9?

    Thanks

try locking in your temporary internetfiles folder, seek a file with the latest date and hour ( must be a streaming format)
copy the file in a new folder --> there U go
    simple but works m.o.t.t.

      Tried that

Thansk for your reply. I've tried that but I can't seem to find any windows media files in the temp directory I can easily find realplayer files but not windows media player files.

Is there some setting I can set on windows media player to 'make' it store temp files?

      Thanks

try using the seek function to find the files
no. there is no way to make changes like this in the WMP.
it is a very uncomfortable player anyway. use musicmatch jukebox
it s free at the same named site.

          SDP

May I reccommend to you the Streaming Data Project, at http://sdp.ppona.com/ . They have the most compatible streaming download program out there.

Hey I tried that program out on one of my friends 4x4 truck movies and it works great! Thanks for the post I just hope the original poster uses it to!
            1. Right click on the player window
            2. Click properties
            3. Copy the URL
            4. Paste it in the Program
            5. Click go!

                Np

                Hey, no problem!;
Just avoid ASFRecorder like the devil. It is. It gives 200 - OK
errors all the time and refuses to d/l. SDP works the best of all
I've tested. I use it to D/L Atomfilms. It works GREAT!
