    Movie size reduced by 1/3

    Hello Guys,
when i play a movie that needs the XviD codec everythings ok until i switch to fullscreen mode then after a few seconds the picture size of the movie reduces to about one third of it's original size. It happens in Windows Media player 7 & WinDVD Platinum.

I've uninstalled all codecs (DivX 503, XviD, FFdshow) and i've uninstalled WinDVD then just reinstalled Xvid on it's own but i'm still getting this problem.

i've tried asking questions in forums like afterdawn but no one can help me.

I'd be sooooo greatfull if you could help.
    Thanxs Claire xxx

Install the FFDSHOW or XVID codec and try playing the file with BSPLAYER. If you have teh NIMO CODEC PACK installed UNINSTALL it.

If that fails, try this last ditch effort:

Talk about all other file container formats and video codecs in this forum, including Ogg, RMVB, MOV, ASF, WMV ...

Thanxs for the advice. I checked out other posts as well.
      But it's still not happening.
Installed XviD and Bsplayer, movie plays fullscreen ok but now plays upside down and movie is not playing smoothly(jerky picture), so uninstalled Xvid tried Ffdshow but still the same.

I then saw a post on changing the FourCC changer, i take it that FourCC description code has to Xvid next to it and FourCC used codec has to say DX50 in the box. (please tell me if i've got it wrong.)

Anyways the movie plays the right way up, in fullscreen mode but the picture is quite jerky and is a bit unwatchable (sound slightly out of sync). Do you think i need another codec or something to corrct the jerkiness or another player.
I've only got DivX bundle 5.0.3 and the Xvid codec now installed

Thanxs for helping me so far, and yes the search can be quite helpful

Change the fourcc code back to XVID, and try playing in SASAMI PLAYER (using a stable build of XVID Or FFDSHOW).

If the video plays in full screen, but is upside down SASAMI PLAYER has a feature to put it right side up in realtime.

General suggestion: It is always good to reboot after installing or uninstally programs.
