    dx50?????

when i try to play the file nothing but a blank screen (well actually black screen) apeared , then i decided to open it with nandub and this message appeared:
    " Couldn't find decompressor for 'DX50' format"
and it wouldn't even open it,
any ideas of what's going on?

You need DivX 5 installed. Get it from DivX.com but the newest version (5.03) is known to have it's issues. Get 5.02 if you can find it.

According to your attachment DivX 5 is not installed.
                  Post VDub file information.

By adding the Key and Delta framesize,I believe this a phony file.

Further to gs0666's appraisal based on the VirtualDub "File Information" capture, this is definitely a phony file. Besides the extreme similarity for all delta frames and likewise for all key frames, the header indicates NO audio information (This is the "price you frequently pay" for attempting to download illicit copies of commercial properties).

For future reference, questions related to downloaded videos should be posted to the "P2P" sub-forum here...
