    What's the best player?

As I wrote earlier, I'm pretty new to watching(divx) movies on the computer...so I'm wondering what differences there are between all of the players.
I've only used "The Playa" and "Windows Media Player", in my opinion the picture was a bit better in "The Playa" (avi)...
"Windows Media Player" couldn't even play divx movies.
Is "The Playa" the best to use? Or can someone recommend something else...

    Thanx

When you ask a question like this you will get 10 replies and 10 different players
What it comes down to is ........................what do you like best

For me, i swear with WM-Player 6.4 to watch all my moviez; mainly because i feel comfertable with it and it has (almost) no suprises for me

When i want to watch the movie (or set it up for the children) with subtitles i use BS-Player

When i just want to check whether or not my subtitles fit with the movie, i use the modified version of WM-Player

So you see, i don't just use ONE player

Personally i think they all are having some advantages, but there is one that is crap raised to a square and that is The Playa

But then again ............ that is MY opinion and somebody else will say otherwise (like you )

Just stick to what works for you and if you are having problems with one ..................try another; but don't let US tell you what the best player is.

Thank you abdul for your reply.

Maby I should have asked for recommendations...

Because of the fact that I don't even know what kind of players (except Windows Media Player) there are, I appreciate every recommendation I get, then I can try what's best for me!

As long as you asked - you might look into the latest version of the Sasami Player. It is quite low overhead and has moany good features.
