problems with divx 5.01 and xvid

Hi dudes and babes , I have a problem when I try to play a movie encoded in divx 5.01 or xvid or any other format except the old 3.11 movies, the image gets all disturbed :S it's al little bit to green and stuff...
    Sound is okay!!
I have installed the codec pack from nimo... and also tried several other codecs...
My system is a PIII 800 .. 512 MB RAM .. GEFORCE 2 MX .. SB LIVE .. WINDOWS XP PRO EDITION + SP1 .. and i'm using windows media player 9 for playback.

Anyone knows what the problem can be??

BTW sorry for my bad english.

    Try this:

Uninstall nimo, and get the tsunami codec/filter pack. It is important that you uninstall nimo first!

Play in WMP 6.4 (in the run command box, put in "mplayer2.exe" (without the quotes)
    FFDShow filters

      Try using FFDShow for decoding.
