Need help video editing

Hi Thank you for looking into this

I have old video clips that was taken with a analog camcoder and iI have capture it to DV avi clip
went I play the clip it show the date and time in the picture is there a way to remove that Date from the movie picture by editing ? with Vegas Video or another program ?
