Choose which codec to use

Is there any software to choose the codecs that are used to play the AVIs?
I installed a lot of codecs packs and now the AVIs are acting funny.

The codecs i Installed are Nimo's Full Pack and Kazaalite Codecs 1.7 Full.

Acting funny? In what way?

You could change the fourcc of the avi to "trick" windows into using a different decoder for playback but there might be an easier way if you describe your problem.

You should be able to disable codecs through the control panel (under the sounds cpl). Best way obviously is install only the codecs you need & stop the problem at it's source.
