Help! New to Xvid, what do I download for playback?

I've been given a cd encoded with Xvid and I've downloaded an Xvid codec and after the installation it gives me:

AviC.exe and MiniCalc.exe

I also downloaded: XviD-Dec.exe which installed some files on the system windows folder.

Still I can't playback xvid encoded cd's. I've tried BSplayer and windows Media player. I have no problems with DivX files.

Is there something else I need to download?

I'm using windows 2000

try ffdshow,
although having xvid codec should allow you to open up all xvid files..how they look is a seperate story.

XviD decoded by FFDShow looks brilliant.
