Hi, Im trying to cut a divx film, .avi - The file is 733 meg in size and I want to cut this in half then burn the two files to two SVCDS.
My problem is when cutting the divx and sorting the sound sync. I have read the guide on this site which tells you exactly what to do.
Once cut the sound is widely out of sync, I follow the instructions and get these values
A: 23.976
B: 23.977
C: 0.001
T: 3231.911 (53mins51.911secs)
0.001 * 3231.911 / 23.976 * 1000 = 134.797 (ive tried that value and rounding it up to 135)
As the video is in front of the sound, Ive put this in the end offset time box and hit save as avi.
After its finished its still way out of sync. Also I have noticed that even after first splitting the avi I have pulses in the video. Seems to play about 2x speed for a couple of secs every so often then go back to normal speed? (I did cut on a key frame is this makes any difference)
Im using the virtual dub as described in the tutorial and I feel I must be doing something really stupid here but cant see whats wrong?
Any help greatly appreciated, Thx, Soul
