Whenever I come across a video file that doesn't work or is giving me trouble I just open it in virtual dub and save it as an avi. If I
can get away with using direct stream copy for video I do, if not I recompress the file as a mpeg-4 divx. Just use the virtual dub
help file for instructions. There's a link to dl virtual dub on www.divx.com. This always solved the
problem for me. It's changing the file from whatever it is into a avi format using whatever codec u choose. Hope this helps anyone
with playback problems.
