    divx pc playback

    hi im a total, n00b 2 rippin and sux, but i downloaded a divx movie from kazaa and i dont have a cd rewriter 2 cr8 a cd of it, and i have no idea how 2 play it usin diferent players such as windows media player, or real 1 , or the divx player, how do i?

    Obviously you will need a cd-writer to write that file (and anything else) onto CDs.

    i have no idea how 2 play it usin diferent players such as windows media player, or real 1 , or the divx player, how do i?
    Install the required codec.

    To find out what codec that you require, use GSpot.

        i used gspot and it said it is not a valid avi file - file type unkown
        so what do i do know?

          Can you open the file in Virtualdub? If so, check the FIle Information and post what you see here.

              when i try loading the avi file is says cannot determine file type of [filename] ....avi

                Looks like you have a non-AVI (nor -OGM) file there. It could be a number of formats, including RM (Realmedia) , QT & MOV (Quicktime), VIV and such. Try using the respective players for these file types.

                  well i have tried it in realtime, wmp, divx player ,dvd player it is mayb a crappy file?
