DVD on CD

Ok, here is the problem, now i dont know if this is possbile, so dont get flaming me or anything but id just like to know. Id like to write my own DVD but on a CD (ie the same DVD structure etc) so that it will play on my DVD player at home. Now iv already tried this, but it will not work. Does anyone know of any software or articles that may help me?

No way to do that.
The reason is the physical difference between a CD and a DVD. Your Player looks at the "silver-disc" you inserted and detects, if it is a DVD or not. If it is a DVD, he looks for AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS. Finding those, he starts playing the DVD. In any other case you'll see an error.
Therefore, if you plan to build up your own DVD you have to use DVD's, not simple CD's.
But there's one word I don't know about (only have heared from). It's called miniDVD. Maybe you'll be succesful with this. So look around and search for it.
