Movies upside down (GIS3)

I've got Getaway in STockholm 3 with xvid codec.
When I install koepis codec and play it with divx player or make a vcd with nero, the movie plays upside down.. It's the same with umaniacs codec. Works ok in Windows media player but when I make a vcd with nero it is upside down. When I use Nic's codec, the movie seems to play fine in both media player and divx player but nero has a problem decoding the movie for me to make a vcd...is there an xvid codec that works perfectly or at least play my movie the correct side up when I make a vcd. With koepi's codec, nero can decode the avi file no problems, only it plays it upside down any help would be appreciated.

Download FFDShow maybe that'll save you some work this time but next time.. Search -> then post

actually when i do a search for this, I get the same responses 'do a search on it'. the only advice have been to use different players to view them. The question is why is it a problem with some players and not with others? I don't have a problem viewing it. It's just that when I make a video with nero and play it in my dvd, it is upside down..therefore burning a coaster. if anyone has any ideas it would be great.

I guess you didn't search thoroughly enough.

Do NOT use NERO to CREATE your VCD!

Use TMPGEnc to convert your Xvid-compressed .AVI file into VCD format.

Then use NERO ONLY to BURN (NOT convert/create, since you'll have already done that with TMPGEnc) as VCD...

I have the same problem upsidedown picture and mirrored but my compression method isnt XviD its standard DivX. Will TMPGEnc correct the problem anyway?

There are several reasons why a video is flipped.
If one ore more of the filters below are installed, you might have that problem :


a) DivX G400 (checkbox 'flip image')
b) DivX 4.x
c) bicubic resizer (checkbox 'flip image')
d) ffdshow (activated checkbox 'flip image'')
e) 'Xvid Mpeg-4 Video Decoder' (activated 'Flip Video').
f) InstantCopy 7 is installed (vobmpg2.ax)

I had the media "upside down" problem too.'
The new DivXG400 v2.83 fixed my problem

As they say in the changes from the former version 2.7:
No flipped image using Elecard MPEG decoder anymore.

New RadLight 4 has the "flip image" feature built-in. Anyway, it's only a temporary fix - the real cause of this is buggy decoder/renderer.
