    Audio Volume too low

    Dear All:
I downloaded some divx/xvid moives from internet. I found that its volume is quite low even i had turned both volume of my player and pc to maximum.
Then i changed audio codec (former was K-Lite, now Nimo build8)and it seemed getting a little bit louder in the same volume level but still not enough.
    Any suggestion on that??

      how about VBR audio

If audio is VBR, does it do anything to audio bitrate??
If it does, no problem on video/audio synchronous??
      Thanx

What I normaly do is demux audio to plain uncompressed wav, normalise/boost it and compress back to CBR.

Why don't you do it the easy way?

The correct way is to normalize the sound and fix it permanently, as suggested by the other repliers to your post. That will boost the audio as much as you like. However, if you want to do it the easy way, just watch it with SASAMI divx player. It has a built-in pre-amp which allows you to boost the sound on the fly. It works really well, I use it for all of my low-sound divx. Using the pre-amp, you can boost the sound up to a maximum of 293%, which effectively quadruples the volume.

Download it in the players section on this site.

          Cheers,
          Rooster
