Video & Audio get out of synchronize

When I watching movies encoded with XVID, the video and audio
always get out of synchronize . But everything OK when playing back movies encoded with DIVX. Any one can tell me why??
BTW. I am using XVID NIC's the latest build. and my PC:
CELERON 400, 256M Ram, GeForce 256 video card............

it could be that your system is overtaxed when playing xvid files. try turning off all of the unnesesary background programs (ctrl alt del then turn off processes that you don't want except for explorer and taskmgr)

try playing the file in a lightweight player: bsplayer, or WMP 6.4 (in the run command type "mplayer2.exe" without the quotes)
